Bridal Nail Trends for 2017 #NegativeSpaceNails #BridalNeutralNails #ModernMetallicNails
We are love-love-loving the latest trends for nails this spring. From Grownup Metallics to Ladylike Neutrals and Negative Space Nails these fashion forward styles will have your wedding nails on point!
Grownup Metallics
Upgrade the glittery sparkle you adore to a sophisticated level with a modern metallic nail. A refined way to rock a precious metal manicure is to use a rose gold tip, or perhaps a simple silver line, or even a metallic French accent over a neutral base.
Sally Hansen partnered with designer Phillip Lim for his Spring 2017 Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week to produce this marvelous metallic look which features a platinum polish over a white base. Sooo pretty! This look works for an Icy Winter look too. Madeline Poole, Sally Hansen Global Color Ambassador and famous Instagram Nail Artist, explains how she designed this amazing nail, “Keeping in mind the various references of 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Spring 2017 collection from Western to Victorian, we came up with a nail that is accessible yet elevated. Not just a solid color, but a white with a metallic overlay. The nail is painted in two coats of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Let’s Snow and then lightly brushed on top with strokes of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Gilty Party. The result is an optical, three-dimensional texture. The metallic is inspired by the hardware, elaborate studding, and zippers from the collection.” – Madeline Poole, Sally Hansen Global Color Ambassador
Another gorgeous look is a neutral base with a sprinkle of glam gold glitter at the nail base. J’adore!!!
Ladylike Neutrals
A pleasant, demure shade of neutral is always in style and a great look for brides. A very sweet selection is Essie’s “Ballet Slippers” an affordable option, available at Target for $8.99.
OPI is a powerhouse brand that also offers well-priced neutrals.
Check out this fabulous neutral offered at Sephora by Christian Louboutin in “The Nudes” for $50, available here. No way can we afford the red-soled shoesies, but we do think the splurge for designer lacquer is worth it for a wedding day look. You’ll look fabulous on your day, plus that polish will deliver great neutral nails and enjoyment way after your wedding. And, how amazing will this GORG bottle look on your vanity tray! YES!
The New French
French manicures have been brought into the 2017s with a bang of color. How adorable is this take on the classic featuring different shades of pastels on the tips? Very cute for a spring ceremony and perfect for your mismatched maids!
We are obsessed with this french-inspired matte silver nail with a shiny silver tip. (Plus, don’t you agree that ANY hand clutching ANYTHING Chanel is gonna look tres magnifiqué?)
Negative Space
Artsy girls, hipsters and trendsetters alike are sporting the uber-cool negative space nails. We love how a lack of color can provide an abundance of style. Nail That Design is winning with this bridal white design.
And we want to marry this adorable polka dotted negative space nail design with a tiny pink bow. In fact, it is so cute we are gonna have to call it a positive space design!
Color Block
Another trend that is showing up on the nails of the stylish is colorful and mod color blocking. The tri-block below is rocking three trends: neutrals, color blocking AND glitter. Love!
And, for colorful weddings, we think these two designs are pretty cool. Especially the rainbow chevron! Very fun!!
Happy Beautiful Wedding Day nails to you! Time to end this post ‘cuz we are making an appointment for a mani!!!!
