A History of Excellence

The story of Normans Bridal Shoppe really began way back in 1967 when Blake and Brenda Norman started a jewelry store. Blake was a jeweler who dreamed of selling engagement rings to all the grooms in town, and Brenda, his wife, loved the idea of also selling wedding dresses to the brides-to-be. By 1980 Normans officially opened its doors and began assisting brides. And, of course, it was a stunning success!
The Norman family has built upon its stellar reputation with many changes and improvements along the way. These days Brenda and her daughter Liz manage and run the South Avenue location together. Finding the “perfect” dress and celebrating the life moments involved never gets old for Brenda and Liz. And together they focus on offering the best selection of Bridal gowns, Prom dresses, and Bridesmaids’ styles!

Patty was my stylist and she was very helpful. She only pulled dresses in my price range and ones that were in my size. She quickly was able to find dresses I really liked even though I came in not totally sure what I wanted exactly. Patty helped me find the perfect dress! She put me in multiple different veils and helped me find one that went along and put it aside for me. The dress itself makes me feel very glamorous and beautiful and it fit like a glove and I’ll need minimal alterations.
