So we’ve sourced all the best options for dining, seeing, and doing in all the top spots in Greece from beautiful beaches to a dazzling city.
Athens
We’re starting our tour in Athens, the glorious capital city of Greece. Here you’ll be able to soak up the history and dine like royalty. This town was the heart of Ancient Greece, a powerful civilization and empire. And, today, the city is still dominated by awesome 5th-century BC landmarks, such as the Acropolis, and the Parthenon temple. Think of the amazing selfies you all can take against this stunning backdrop. You’ll absolutely adore all the brightly colored buildings with red tiles roofs.

Where to Eat
Hytra is a fine dining restaurant with amazing options for both food and wine. They are well known for their exceptional service and amazing tasting menu. And, their options are reasonably priced. Hytra is located on a beautifully designed rooftop terrace with a view of the Acropolis.

If you are looking for some delicious authentic Greek food, we suggest Miandros. This charming coffee restaurant has a reputation for traditional dishes and an intimate, cozy atmosphere that spills out to a lovely patio. Conveniently, Miandros is located in the historical part of Athens. Plus, they offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Keep in mind Miandros becomes a hotspot starting at 6 P.M. with a live band and an amazing drink selection, so you can plan a fun evening out here as well.

What to See & Do
You can’t visit Greece without feeling the incredible sense of history. You are surrounded by gorgeous reminders of the past. And you can find a treasure trove of historic sites in one place at the Acropolis, the most famous citadel in all of Greece. Located on a rocky outcrop high above the city of Athens, the Acropolis is a symbol of the city’s former glory, recalling the culture that flourished more than two millennia ago. This site contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historical significance. Here you will find the Parthenon, The Temple of Athena Nike, The Acropolis Museum, and many other jaw-dropping windows into the past. It’s a must-see for your honeymoon!

Located within the Acropolis, The Parthenon is arguably one of the most iconic examples of classical architecture in the world. The temple is dedicated to the patron goddess of the city, Athena. Construction on the Parthenon started way back in 447 BC, so it is absolutely incredible that it still stands. You can’t actually walk inside the interior due to its fragile state, but you can still gaze at its wonder and take photos of the exterior. One-day tickets to the Parthenon, including the entire Acropolis site, cost just $22 per person. Score!

Galazia Akti is a private beach located on an island right outside of Athens. There are a couple of beach bars, fish shacks, and beach volley courts where amateurs and former pros play all day long. The sand is thin and the water is shallow and calm so you can frolic in the sea without a care in the world. This gorgeous beach, also known as Blue Bay, is a popular destination for celebrities so you might find yourselves lounging next to someone famous. So don’t miss out on this little mini oasis since it is so close to Athens.

Santorini
Santorini is one of the most dazzling islands in all of Greece. Part of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea, Santorini is a well-loved tourist destination and the perfect place to honeymoon. With its reputation for awe-inspiring panoramas, romantic sunsets, and volcanic-sand beaches, it’s hardly surprising Santorini is so popular.

Where to Eat
Metaxi Mas is one of the best restaurants in Santorini. Hidden away on an intimate terrace, this restaurant can be hard to find. But like all hidden gems it is well worth the trouble to find this elusive spot.

The food and wine are high quality but also unbelievably affordable. A meal at this family-owned spot with traditional Greek food and friendly staff is a must.

What to See & Do
Are you foodies? Love to enjoy a glass of vine? If so we recommend spending at least one day on Santorini taking a food and wine tour. You’ll be immersed in the history and processes of making traditional dishes (and wines!) of the region. Plus, you’ll get to visit the most beautiful vineyards and see inside the kitchens of the locals. Try Safowi, the best option for discerning honeymooners who want an in-depth experience of the best of Santorini’s food and wine scene.

And for the best thing to do on Santorini, well all you need to do is open your eyes and take in all the awe-inspiring views. One of the most popular sights in Santorini is the blue and white houses on the clifftop.

The Heart of Santorini is a hidden treasure that is worth making a visit to. Mother Nature somehow carved a heart on the side of a caldera, a formation from a volcano eruption. It is such a romantic place for honeymooners to pose for photos.

Another hidden gem is the Bay of Ammoundi. The postcard-pretty Bay is home to a dock, restaurants, and a romantic hidden swimming hole. The Bay offers many fresh seafood options from local fishermen and restaurants. But if you are up for an adventure though you may want to try out the donkey rides.

Mykonos

Honeymooners looking for a good time need to make plans to visit Mykonos, another picturesque island on the Aegean Sea. This absolutely beautiful island is the perfect place to live your best life with gorgeous scenery, a party atmosphere, and delicious food.
Where to Eat
Phos Restaurant is a special restaurant with breathtaking scenery and delicious Greek & Mediterranean dishes. This is a place bathed by natural sunlight and surrounded by natural beauty. You’ll feel as if you are on a luxurious, polished sailboat. Because everything resembles the deck of a yacht. Dine here for an exquisite journey of the senses. A journey of tastes, aromas, sounds, textures, and mesmerizing images. See why they were awarded the 2021 Traveler’s Choice Award 2021 by Trip Advisor.

What to See & Do
If you love a party you’ve come to the right island. Beaches such as Paradise and Super Paradise have bars that play great music. Massive dance clubs attract world-renowned DJs and typically stay open well past dawn.

Check out the windmills, which are among the most recognized landmarks of the island and one of the most famous Mykonos attractions along with Little Venice. For many centuries the mills used to refine grain with the help of the high winds that blow on the island.

Another must-see is Little Venice, a neighborhood with colorful houses built right on the edge of the sea. You’ll be charmed by this aptly named spot due to its resemblance to Venice, Italy. The houses have been turned into elegant bars and restaurants and are among the best places in town to watch the sunset while sipping a cocktail.
